HISTORY
Centre Zen de la Main was founded in the spring of 1995 by Myōkyō, with the help and support of generous donors. In 2009 its name was changed to Enpuku-ji after the move to its new location at 4620 Saint-Dominique Street. The Centre is affiliated with a network of centres, headed by the main temple, Rinzai-ji, which are committed to practicing Rinzai Zen as taught by Joshu Roshi. It has grown in its first years to to the point of being able to provide a strong, consistent practice environment for members, newcomers and resident students.
